Welcome to Team SquirrelCraft's first SquirrelPAK on Modrinth!

tl;dr: Tech Squirrels! - A 1.20.1 tech mod pack by Team SquirrelCraft that is aimed for the player that has limited time to play so we have slightly OP mods and settings. Note you need at least 6G of RAM, 8 GB the best, so make sure you set the ram usage!

Whats a SquirrelPAK?

Welcome to Team SquirrelCraft's first SquirrelPAK on Modrinth! If your new to SquirrelPAKs they are mod packs made for folks who don't have a lot of time to play and may short attention spans! With this in mind we try to select mods and settings that make it little easier to get started and progress quickly.

About This PAK

SquirrelPAK 1201 is the culmination of our Let's Play MC20 in 2024. We took all the best mods we played through and tried to keep the mod count low. Each SquirrelPAK has the following formula. Client Side Life Improvement mods + Map Mod + Vanilla Plus Mods + Builders Blocks Mod + Early & Late game Storage Mods + Early & Late game Energy Mods + Med/High Tech Mods + Server Tools and favorite mods that the SquirrelFam loves.

How to Set Up a SquirrelPAK 1201 Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for SquirrelPAK 1201). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "SquirrelPAK 1201" and click "Install". The forge loader and Minecraft 1.20.1 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

SquirrelPAK 1201 server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a SquirrelPAK 1201 server really need?
