About this Modpack

Starfall SMP Discord Server

This is the official client-side modpack for Starfall SMP, a Java Minecraft server focused on community, friendship, and memories. What sets us apart from other servers is our commitment to fairness and a fun experience for everyone. We have anti-cheat, custom-made quests, planned events, daily rewards, emotes, cosmetics, and so much more each season. To keep things balanced, we delay access to the Nether and End and make them server-wide events, ensuring a more engaging progression.

While this modpack is not required to join the server, it’s recommended for the best experience. It includes QoL (Quality-of-life) mods and performance enhancements used by most players on the server.

❓ FAQ

Q: Can I add mods or delete mods from the modpack?

A: It's totally up to you whether to delete or add mods to the modpack. We recommend keeping it
as is, as some mods may be bannable or you may encounter issues.

Q: I thought that this was a modded server; why is the modpack optional?

A: We switched from modded to paper. This is now a client-side modpack that provides a better experience for players on the server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Starfall SMP server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Starfall SMP server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Starfall SMP without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.3). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Starfall SMP server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
