FAQ

Why is some content showing weirdly (like overlapping other content or not showing)?

Content can render weirdly like this if your screen or window is not big enough. We highly recommend using fullscreen mode. It can also render improperly if your GUI scale is too low.

Why is there a Sodium error when joining some servers?

Sodium gives errors with some server resource packs. See the disclaimers section.

Where did the Realms button go?

The Realms button has moved into the multiplayer menu.

If player reporting has been removed from the menu, where is it now?

Press the P key on your keyboard in-game to open the menu.

Where is BSL shaders and Vanilla Tweaks?

You need to enable them. Vanilla Tweaks is in Minecraft Settings > Resource Packs and BSL Shaders is in Minecraft Settings > Video Settings > Shader Packs.

Disclaimers and recommendations

Disclaimers

Some server resource packs give a Sodium error. You can ignore that, and if any real problems happen, that server is not compatible with Sodium. Lubbycraft works with Sodium even though it gives the error.

There are extra features added for the Lubbycraft server (play.lubcubsgaming.com) that make your experience better on that server. This modpack works with any server or in singleplayer, however you should look at the server rules for that server to make sure every mod here is following those rules.

Recommendations

We only recommend use of this modpack on survival servers or gamemodes (not creative or minigame).

We recommend using this modpack with no other modpacks, as other mods can break this modpack. Suggest any mods UPLOADED ON MODRINTH to be added here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Survivalpack server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Survivalpack server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Survivalpack without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.4). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Survivalpack server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
