About this Modpack
I made this modpack to test out how well the mod Voxy works with Vivecraft and Minecraft VR mods.
This pack contains mods that allow you to play in VR with Voxy and also modifies the terrain/world generation to maximise the wow factor of using a mod like this. I also added some preformance mods to maximise fps as much as possible.
I have a 5090 and 9950x3d so your results may vary especially if you try shaders but I think most can try this and will see a benefit with shaders disabled.
If you wish to follow what I did exactly then see below:
1 - disable vivecraft and voxy and start minecraft in flatscreen.
2 - Generate the world then enter these commands to get chunky to start loading the chunks:
/chunky shape circle
/chunky radius 512c
/chunky start
3 - When it finishes quit the game, turn on vivecraft and voxy, start the game again and load into the world.
4 - Start Voxy loading using this command: /voxy import world "your world name"
5 - Wait for it to load and if you feel like it then try turning on the BSL shader
Enjoy :)

Frequently Asked Questions
The Voxy VR Test Experience server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a The Voxy VR Test Experience server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to The Voxy VR Test Experience without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
The Voxy VR Test Experience server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
