New_Path Optimization
Leveraging Vulkan at its core, swapping the rendering engine plus additional optimizations brings your game performance to incredible heights!
About this Modpack
About the Modpack
Switch your mindset! Rethink your approach to Minecraft optimization by leveraging Vulkan as the core rendering engine, paired with a curated set of advanced optimizations.
This modpack completely rewrites Minecraft's rendering API using VulkanMod, replacing the outdated OpenGL with a more modern and efficient alternative.
This modpack adopts a more aggressive optimization strategy, typically offering higher performance gains compared to Sodium and its derivatives. However, it may not support very old hardware as effectively.
Note: This modpack is highly mature. Updates will be minimal unless VulkanMod releases a new version.
Performance in mangrove swamps [12 render distance]
Vanilla sodium vulkan Turbo Vulkan modpack 500-600FPS 900-1000FPS 1200-1300FPS 1900-2000FPS performance in standard forests [12 render distance]
Vanilla sodium vulkan Turbo Vulkan modpack 800-900FPS 1200-1300FPS 1400-1500FPS 3700-4000FPS Important Notes:
- To achieve maximum performance, I added the Cull-Leaves mod. This may cause nearby leaves to render as single-sided like glass. While this affects visuals, it genuinely boosts FPS. If you dislike this effect, disable "Leaf Culling" in mod settings or simply remove the mod.
- VulkanMod introduces a brand-new Vulkan-based rendering engine to Minecraft for performance and graphics enhancements, but may cause crashes with mods directly calling OpenGL. Compatibility isn't perfect, but installing small mods should be fine (e.g. Skin Layers 3D).

How to Set Up a New_Path Optimization Server
Order Server
Choose at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended for New_Path Optimization). Based on player count: per 8 players.
Install Modpack in Dashboard
Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "New_Path Optimization" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 26.1.2 are configured automatically.
Start Server & Play
Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!
Frequently Asked Questions
New_Path Optimization server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a New_Path Optimization server really need?
Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).
Can I add custom mods to New_Path Optimization without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (26.1.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
New_Path Optimization server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
