About this Modpack

Unimaginative-Speed

it's a very fast optimized modpack for client

Why modpack is more optimized than vanilla-client

  • Minecraft has a lot of problems with optimization, also with rendering and using memory, loading chunks and another

Also you can try Unimaginative Utilities

Mods:

  • Libraries:

    • Mod Menu - Adds a mod menu to view the list of mods you have installed
    • Fabric API - library for essential hooks and interoperability
  • Optimization:

    • Sodium - Modern rendering engine and client-side optimization mod for Minecraft
    • Concurrent Chunk Management Engine - A mod designed to improve the chunk performance of Minecraft
    • DashLoader - This mod accelerates the Minecraft Asset Loading system by caching all of its content, This leads to a much faster game load
    • Dynamic FPS - Dynamic FPS automatically reduces the speed at which Minecraft renders when it's not focused (to 1 FPS) or hidden (no renders at all)
    • EntityCulling - Using async path-tracing to skip rendering Block/Entities that are not visible
    • FerriteCore - This mod reduces the memory usage of Minecraft in a few different ways
    • ForgetMeChunk - Mod that prevents light map unloads on the client, this eliminates the fps drops caused by crossing certain chunk borders
    • ImmediatelyFast - Speed up immediate mode rendering in Minecraft
    • Indium - Indium is an addon for the rendering optimisation mod Sodium, providing support for the Fabric Rendering API
    • kennytvs-epic-force-close-loading-screen-mod-for-fabric - Instantly closes the loading terrain screen on world changing and drastically reduces the resource pack loading screen duration
    • Krypton - A mod to optimize the Minecraft networking stack
    • Ksyxis - Speed up your world loading by not loading nearby chunks every time.
    • Language Reload - Reduces load times and adds fallbacks for languages
    • LazyDFU - Makes the game boot faster by deferring non-essential initialization
    • More Culling - A mod that changes how multiple types of culling are handled in order to improve performance
    • Reese's Sodium Options - Alternative Options Menu for Sodium
    • Seaborgium - A slight rendering optimization mod for Minecraft, increasing the performance of the vanilla HUD
    • Smooth Boot - Smooth Boot makes Minecraft load smoother and possibly faster by editing some parameters related to executors.
    • Sodium Extra - in addition to providing some features such as visual bug fixes and other performance options that are not yet available on Sodium.
    • Starlight - Fabric mod for rewriting the light engine to fix lighting performance and lighting errors.

Unused optimization mods

  • Why is there no Exordium
    • Exordium isn't compitable with custom gui like minimap and MiniHud, but you can download it here
  • Why is there no Enhanced Block Entities
    • EBE doesn't have version that supports minecraft 1.20.4

2

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Unimaginative Speed" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.20.4 are configured automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unimaginative Speed server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Unimaginative Speed server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Unimaginative Speed without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.4). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Unimaginative Speed server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
