About this Modpack

Welcome to Vanilla Extreme!

WARNING:

Please add Gobber to the pack, you can get it from here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/gobber-fabric/files/4086199

Please read changes for keybind changes, theres a lot!

Also check out the changes/additons made with kubejs! #KubeJS Additions

This pack was made to make a few fun challenges to the normal vanilla flow while being setup for technical players.

With a few craftable items for end-game to take control of the world via carpet mod & kubejs!

Mod List

I would like to point out, this pack has the Gobber mod, it adds quite a lot of Overpowered Items and tiers of materials. (Removed the generation of the ore blocks).

But rest assured, I made getting these grindy enough to make it feel balanced.

How? You may ask?

Well.....WARDENS :D

It has overworld, nether, and end tiers.

So, to get the materials you kill wardens in the various dimensions!

And for the cheaty end-game carpet items, each item will need 36 warden kills in the END.

So it doesnt really matter, you dont HAVE to make them and since it's endgame i dont see a reason to force the vanillaness to maintain, thats mostly when this pack takes over :)

I have decided I reconfigured enough keybinds for every new pack I play to do some of it for you! But I have attempted to do so in a way that wouldnt feel alien

(you dont move foward with right alt for instance XD)

Keybind Changes

Controls But I have also configured various things in the mods such as keyminds for [Masady's mods](https://legacy.curseforge.com/members/masady/projects) and Charm enabling and disabling various things to fit the pack's vanilla-ness.

Netherrack: Netherrack

Generation

Generation Info

So, i removed as much generation from most the mods as i could.
So if you remove a mod, only thing effected is items in chests.
Tho theres some mods contributing to world generation.

Twigs:

Twigs adds a few stone based blocks to the overworld and nether.

Yung's Better Dungeons

Yung's Better Mineshafts

Yung's Better Ocean Monuments

These mods adds various improvements of structures, but edited the config for not completely replacing them, so its 50/50 on it being Yung's that spawn, or Vanilla's

Also note, they use vanilla blocks so if you remove the mods they wont make bad holes where pregenerated one's *used* to be :)
So these are somewhat less destructive if removed compared to twigs.
Tho idk how bounding boxes would apply, for ocean monuments for example, be carefull with this! :D

KubeJS

KubeJS Modifications

Please note:

Feel free to edit these script or remove them in any way you want.

But make sure we might not be able to solve bugs that may arise from your doing this, so be careful!

Block Modifications:

Haste Effected Blocks: Modified breaking spead of some blocks, you might LOVE this :D

Nature Blocks:

Deepslate (and it's varients)

Cobblestone

End Stone

All Vanilla Ores(except ancient debris)

Glowstone

Beacon Blocks:

Gold

Iron

Emerald

Diamond

Netherite

(Charm Waxed Iron and Gobber's blocks might not work)

Are now ALL instamine-able.

Yw :)

Added Features:

New features added

50% of Pigmen killed by charged creepers will convert to piglins.

Making for a unique and VERY challenging superflat challenge ;)

Entity falling in void in the END Dimension only will be teleport to the overworld as if you fell into the atmosphere, set on fire of course.

ITEMS AND NON CREATURE ENTITIES SUCH AS BOATS WONT WORK

Various commands from carpet had been enabled by default when a new world is joined.

Also a spawn radius command is ran to get spawnRadius to 0.

So if you need to find spawn points you can die, and spot the block you spawn on if you dont feel like using MiniHud's spawn chunk overlay.

Custom Recipes:

Recipes Recipies has been added for various blocks/items:

Dye Recipies:

wool
concrete
concrete_powder
terracotta
glass
red_sand

Undye:

terracotta
glass

Miscellaneous:

2 Logs to 16 sticks

Easier Dispenser Recipie

Glass back to sand (8 to 4)

cobbled varient from Deepslate and Stone

Slabs:

From the KubeJS Discord Lexxie Raven Black created this script.

It converts slabs back to full blocks.

Works for all vanilla blocks, blocks from Charm and Twigs

However not with More Slabs, Stairs, and Walls oddly, so beware.

Custom Items & Blocks:

Items & Blocks created

These items mostly are for the carpet mod and used to access carpet commands through survival.

Yes, they are VERY overpowered, but the recipies has been made for very end-game.

So its up to the player who's 99% likely already beat the game to decide if they want to use these or not.

Mostly added for technical players to be honest.

Blocks Created:

I have added a few various building blocks.

No recipies have been made as of yet

Experiencing Too much Lag?:

Lag reduction tips

This pack is meant to be somewhat small so it shouldn't lag to much at all.

But incase it is feel perfectly free to remove mods.

Its made in a way to not be impacted too much but make sure you keep track a dependancy and a mod, as if you remove a dependancy it may break a mod that uses it!

So pretty much feel free to edit the pack how ever you want :D

And if you plan to remove a lot just make sure to keep these for performance:

Enhanced Block Entities

Lithium

Smooth Boot(optional tbh, makes loading smoother)

Sodium

Spark(optional, keeps track of what may be causing lag)

Starlight

Tweakeroo

This is an odd one, ik, but along with all the many features it adds it also has the disable for entity rendering which can cause a absolutely MASSIVE improvement when near farms with many entities.

And for the pack's sake i recommend you keep Gobber and Carpet with KubeJS, for the functionality they have together.

But if you DO remove KubeJS make sure you remove the kubejs folder from your .minecraft, it's separate from the mod's folder.

Mods not needed for gameplay:

Mods which dont effect gameplay You can remove these perfectly finely without any effect on the world. Most which will happen is some features removed, nothing more :)

How to Set Up a Vanilla Extreme Server

1

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for Vanilla Extreme). Based on player count: per 5 players.

2

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Vanilla Extreme" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.19.2 are configured automatically.

3

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

Vanilla Extreme server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Vanilla Extreme server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Vanilla Extreme without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.19.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Vanilla Extreme server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
