What can I expect?
A wide variety of mods, ranging from performance improvements (e.g. Sodium) to QoL enhancements (e.g. Mouse Wheelie) to fancy adjustments and additions (e.g. Sound Physics Remastered).
What exact mods does this include?
If you click on whatever version you're using, underneath it is a list of "embedded" mods. There's also some resource packs included, so make sure to enable and mess around with those if you desire!
How the hell do I install this?
.mrpack is Modrinth's amazing modpack format. Please visit this article for more information on what they are and how to use them.
My game won't open D:
Please make a GitHub issue if you have any compatibility issues, suggestions, etc. :D
Why are some of the mods disabled?
Whenever a mod becomes incompatible, I simply just disable it. If you have any suggestions for what to replace these with, please let me know.
Do I need to install anything server-side?
No! Some mods may provide additional functionality when installed server-side, but everything will work as expected installed purely client-side.
Can I use this on any server I join?
While probably true, this modpack is not designed with this in mind. Please run the mod list by the server owner before playing. I'm not responsible for server admins punishing you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Vanilla Seasoning server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Vanilla Seasoning server really need?
Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).
Can I add custom mods to Vanilla Seasoning without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.4). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Vanilla Seasoning server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
