About this Modpack

✨ Vanilla Enhanced: Smooth, fast, and just right.

You know that feeling when you start Minecraft and wish it ran just a little smoother, loaded just a bit faster, and had a few more handy tools to make your life easier?
That’s exactly where Vanilla Enhanced steps in.

It’s still the Minecraft you know – no flashy overhauls, no weird game-breaking changes – just the good stuff.
More frames, fewer annoyances, and small quality-of-life tweaks that make you wonder: “Why wasn’t this always in the game?”

Inventory sorting with one click? ✅
Lighting up caves just by holding a torch? ✅
Changing your skin without leaving the world? ✅

Everything is picked with care so it feels native, like it’s been part of Minecraft since day one.
If you’re after a pack that keeps the heart of Vanilla alive while making it smoother, smarter, and just plain nicer to play – Vanilla Enhanced is the sweet spot.

❓ Why Vanilla Enhanced?

In the world of modpacks, you often have to choose between two extremes:

  • Packs that barely add any QOL features, leaving you missing the little comforts
  • Or packs overloaded with so many changes that it barely feels like Minecraft anymore

Vanilla Enhanced is the middle ground – the sweet spot.
It keeps the game’s core identity intact, while adding carefully selected features that feel like they should have been there all along. No unnecessary bloat, just quality improvements that make your time in Minecraft smoother, faster, and more fun.

Why do updates take so long?

Developing updates for Minecraft projects take time for a reason. Minecraft is an incredibly complex sandbox with near endless possibilities, meaning features need to be tested across many different scenarios to ensure they work as expected. This process alone is time consuming but essential for a stable experience.

Beyond that, development is not just implementation, it also involves designing and refining ideas. Creating features that feel polished and well integrated takes time, especially when aiming for a high standard.

We also have real life responsibilities that limit the time we can dedicate to these projects.

In the end, we prioritize quality over quantity. We would rather release fewer, well made updates than frequent, unpolished ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Vanilla Enhanced server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Vanilla Enhanced server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Vanilla Enhanced without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.8). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Vanilla Enhanced server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
