About this Modpack
Voided is a heavily immersion-focused modpack dedicated to making the player feel as though the world is older than they are.
The world is whole, and yet empty at the same time.
What caused the void?
They may be watching as you ponder that same question.
There is a reason the birds may stop chirping.
Playstyle & Intent:
This modpack is best experienced slowly.
Exploration is heavily encouraged, and observation is often rewarded.
Voided is not designed around constant danger or action.
Unease, silence, and presence are intentional parts of the experience.
Configuration Notes:
Most configurations are intentionally left at their default values.
The only exception is the Weather & Tornadoes mod remastered, where tornadoes are disabled by default to preserve the atmosphere. Tornadoes may be re-enabled manually in the WeatherMod.json configuration file if desired.
A manual list of mods that should be installed is included.
**The Advanced Wall Climbers API mod is required for the modpack to work. **
World Generation (Recommended):
World pre-generation using the Chunky mod is highly recommended, especially on lower-end systems or for players who are sensitive to immersion breaks caused by chunk loading.
Chunky can be found at https://modrinth.com/plugin/chunky and should be removed once world generation is complete.
Pre-generation is not required, but strongly recommended for the intended experience.
Resource Packs
The primary resource packs are recommended:
ModernArch
Modern Arch FA extension - To connect ModernArch to Fresh Animations
Fresh Animations
Two additional resource packs can be stacked for extra immersion:
Leaves-plus should be stacked on top of the chosen resource pack.
The Unobtrusive Weather resource pack is recommended for players who find heavy rain or storms visually overwhelming.
Shaders (Optional):
Custom shader settings are included as optional presets.

The recommended shaderpack is Photon. Complimentary Unbound or BSL are also supported.
Hysteria is also recommended for players who wish to experience a more sparse, empty atmosphere.
Shaders are optional and not required.
Multiplayer:
MULTIPLAYER COMPATIBLE
Hardware & Performance Notes:
Voided is a large, atmosphere-focused modpack with dense world generation and extensive audio and visual systems. As such, Voided is very memory-intensive.
Recommended system (no shaders):
16 GB RAM (8-12 GB allocated)
Modern multi-core CPU
SSD strongly recommended
With shaders enabled:
32 GB RAM recommended (16 GB allocated)
Dedicated GPU required
Shader performance varies depending on the system and preset.
The following JVM arguments are provided as a reference for users who wish to manually tune performance.
-Xms8G
-Xmx12G
-XX:+UseG1GC
-XX:G1HeapRegionSize=16M
-XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=200
-XX:G1NewSizePercent=20
-XX:G1ReservePercent=20
Lower-end systems can still play Voided by:
disabling shaders
reducing render distance
avoiding live world generation (pre-generation recommended)
Reducing or disabling DistantHorizons (see below)
Voided includes Distant Horizons to support large-scale exploration and visual continuity.
Initial LOD generation can be CPU and memory-intensive, especially in newly explored areas.
Players on lower-end systems may want to reduce the Distant Horizons settings or disable the mod entirely.
The pack remains fully playable without it.
Voided prioritizes immersion and environmental continuity over minimal resource usage.
Additional Notes:
**A comprehensive mod list is included for transparency and to support users who wish to make additions or revisions.
All mods are credited to respective mod owners. All I did was compile the pack. If you enjoy Voided, please consider supporting the creators of the mods.**

How to Set Up a Voided Server
Order Server
Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for Voided). Based on player count: per 5 players.
Install Modpack in Dashboard
Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Voided" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21.11 are configured automatically.
Start Server & Play
Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!
Frequently Asked Questions
Voided server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Voided server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to Voided without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Voided server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
