About this Modpack

Wide Vanilla is just another Vanilla+ Modpack to have fun with :)

What is this Modpack about?

This Modpack is more on the lightwheighted side and primarily focusses on making the minecraft experience more enjoyable and relaxing while keeping the typical Mincraft feel. In Fact, you probably won't even notice that it's modified at all! (Atleast for a minute or so...) Additionally it's optimized to the very brim, so that even your on Hopes-and-Dreams-running Computing Machine can show you an enhanced version of this Game + some nice Multiplayer support

Performant

To ensure a smooth experience this pack contains various performance mods such as Sodium, Ferrite Core, Entity Culling and more. Adittionally everything is set up on Fabric, which is fast and lightweight. If you want to further increase performance you might wanna disable Distant Horizons and/or JJThunder

Shader Compatibility

This pack features build in shader combatibility through Iris and comes with three shaders installed so anyone can choose what fits their Pc and their eyes best. Included are:

Relaxing and Accessible

This Modpack offers gamplay that doesn't vary much from Vanilla so it's perfect if you're unexperienced with modded Mc or if you just don't want to worry about tech or magic mods you would need to get into first. There is even Controller-support if you're coming from Console or if you want to game from your couch.

Enhanced Visuals

Thanks to WWOO and JJ Thunder you will see incredible terrain wherever you look while using DH and if you turn it off, your world will just look like Vanilla although quiet a bit more detailed.
The End and the Nether both also got an overhaul which makes travelling in those dimensions far more intresting.
Adittionally there are a number fo mods that will make the Hud, the UI and some parts of the gameplay a little bit more satisfying.

Additions

The bigger not-so-Vanilla Content additions of the pack consist of Farmer's Delight and The Aether. The Aether is a whole new dimension, the pardon to the Nether, in which you can live, explore an fight Bosses. Farmer's Deleight on the other hand allows you to enhance your cooking skills. Cut Veggies, make Salad and grill Burgers.

Multiplayer Fun

And you can do all of this toghether with your Buddies!
Thanks to e4mc one of you can easily host his own server (cost free) for all to connect to. This Modpack even holds some more fun interactions for you and your friends, but I'll let you find out yourself ;)

Currently there is exessive testing and experiencing required, therefore the Alpha release. But Fear Not! This will be handeled in no time and soon a perfected version can be released.

If you encounter Errors, Problems or have any Suggestions, you may join my Discord for now since I dont have an Github or similar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wide Vanilla server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Wide Vanilla server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Wide Vanilla without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Wide Vanilla server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
