About this Modpack

woof!

woof! or Wesker's Obnoxiously Optimized Fabric/NeoForge is an out of the ordinary Minecraft optimization modpack with the primary focus of truly optimizing minecraft and make it as speedy as possible with the help of Mods!

⚠️ DISCLAIMER
The NeoForge versions of this modpack is experimental! While they exist, they don't really have the proper mods in order to have the same performance gain from what you can get from the original Fabric version of this modpack.

woof?

This is not just gonna be another optimization modpack! ..While the primary focus of this modpack is Optimizations, this does a lot more than what most optimization modpack offers!

woof! attempts to optimize minecraft in many different ways, With some of them being the usual.. making minecraft run faster to get huge FPS gains, faster worldgen, better rendering, etc. (you know what I mean) And some being out of the ordinary, like faster resource pack loading, faster loading, subtle (and maybe unnoticable) fixes and patches, and many more!

woof!!

While minecraft optimization modpacks like these do make minecraft run a lot faster, it isn't enough to truly make it run at it's fullest potential! And because of that, I am recommending you (if you have some time) to read my Guide for Minecraft Optimization (for the client!)

The guide helps with very low-tier to mid-tier computers! And it has been helping me make minecraft run a lot better!

You can check out the guide here!

Frequently Asked Questions

woof! server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong neoforge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a woof! server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to woof! without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (neoforge) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

woof! server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
