About this Modpack

Welcome to the bizarre world of WrongCraft — a Minecraft modpack based on version 1.19.2, designed with the core concept of "Horror Infiltration + Fantasy Dislocation". Here, the familiar blocky world is twisted and reconstructed, with every exploration hiding subversive and bizarre surprises. The essence of survival becomes finding the truth in the gap between weirdness and fear.
Core Gameplay: Horror Survival in a Dislocated WorldThe modpack integrates three gameplay dimensions: horror creature hunting, fantasy magic survival, and bizarre dimension exploration, offering you an extreme survival pressure in a "familiar yet strange" Minecraft:
You might be ambushed by player-like hostile mobs from Player Mobs while mining ores;
You could also be stalked by the human-like stalker from The Knocker when building your base, falling into an inescapable chase;
Even when exploring other dimensions like The Aether and The Deep Void, you could be driven into a desperate situation by supernatural beings such as SCP-096 and The Man-From-The-Fog...
Mod Highlights: Multidimensional Experience of Distorted Reality
Horror Creature Cluster: Hunting from "Dislocation"
Deceptive Hunters: The "mimic" from The Mimicer, the "reimagined Steve" from Steve.exe, and the creepypasta variant from The Twisted Steve all 异化 (alienate) the "player form" into a horror symbol, making you instinctively suspicious of "similar beings".
Supernatural Pursuers: Mods like SCP-096 (The Shy Guy), SCP-049 (The Plague Doctor), and The Man-From-The-Fog implant classic horror IPs into the blocky world. Mechanics like "death by eye contact" and "silent pursuit" make every turn a nerve-wracking moment.
Ecological Horror Scenarios: The biomes from The Graveyard, the hellish landscapes from Gardens of the Dead, and the world corruption from The End of Herobrine upgrade horror from "single creatures" to "full-domain environmental oppression", gradually eroding your living space.
Fantasy System: Finding Survival in Fear
Eerie Power of Botania: Botania provides a natural magic tech tree. You can use plant energy to build defensive barriers and craft items to counter horror creatures, turning "magical survival" into a chip to fight against fear.
Practical Mods for Survival Bottom-Line: Just Enough Items (JEI) helps you sort out crafting logic in chaos. Vein Miner accelerates resource acquisition. Sophisticated Backpacks and Traveler's Backpack let you carry your "belongings" while fleeing from horror chases, turning "survival infrastructure" into the confidence to fight against the bizarre.
Experience Optimization: Immersive Bizarre Atmosphere
Distorted Visuals and Interactions: The dynamic effects of Blur, the animation optimizations of First-person Model, and the detail supplements of More Animations extend the "bizarreness" from creatures to every operation.
Dual Navigation for Exploration: Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's World Map help you navigate distorted terrains. They not only prevent you from getting lost in the siege of horror creatures but also allow you to accurately plan "escape + resource point" survival routes.

Frequently Asked Questions

wrongceaft server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a wrongceaft server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to wrongceaft without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.19.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

wrongceaft server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time.
