WHAT IS ZOMBIE HORIZON?

Zombie Horizon is a high-fidelity, tactical survival simulation designed for those who find the vanilla apocalypse too easy. Set in the decaying, overgrown ruins of The Lost Cities, this pack blends realistic gunplay, advanced medical systems, and a terrifyingly intelligent undead horde.

Every bullet is a choice. Every wound is a story. In Zombie Horizon, you aren't just playing Minecraft—you are fighting for your life in a world that wants you dead.

MAIN FEATURES

🧟 THE EVOLVED ZOMBIE THREAT

The undead are no longer mindless. Powered by Zombie Awareness, they track your scent, hear your footsteps, and follow the trail of your blood. With Hordes and Enhanced Celestials, you’ll face massive waves and terrifying blood moons that will test your fortifications to the limit.

Zombies

🔫 TACTICAL WEAPONRY (TACZ)

Experience the gold standard of Minecraft firearms. Featuring Timeless and Classics Zero (TACZ), you have access to a massive arsenal of guns with realistic 3D models, smooth handling animations, and deep customization. Master the recoil or become another casualty of the ruins.

🏙️ BREATHTAKING URBAN EXPLORATION

Roam through a hauntingly beautiful apocalypse. The Lost Cities are reimagined with Terralith generation and Dynamic Trees, creating a lush, vertical world where nature is slowly swallowing the skyscrapers. Every building is a loot-filled treasure chest—and a potential deathtrap.

🛡️ FORTIFY & CONQUER

Protect your loot with SecurityCraft and Trapcraft. Set up cameras, laser tripwires, and reinforced doors to keep the horde and other players out. Use tactical gear to scout the ruins and plan your next move. Build castles, fortresses, walls and don't forget to use spikes for extra protection.

When creating a new world, remember to enable the generation of The Lost Cities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Zombie Horizon server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Zombie Horizon server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Zombie Horizon without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Zombie Horizon server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
