Classic Apple Pie / Potion Series
Apple Pie – The classic food of the mod, more filling than a plain apple.
Golden Apple Pie – Gleaming with a golden luster. Provides short-term Absorption and Regeneration after eating.
Enchanted Golden Apple Pie – The legendary ultimate dessert, granting powerful stat boosts and special effects. Crafted by surrounding a Golden Apple Pie with 8 gold blocks.
Magic Potion – Drink it to unlock the “How Did We Get Here?” advancement!
Global Culinary Journey (continuously expanding)
The mod will keep adding authentic specialties from around the world, such as:
Guangdong, China – Rice noodle rolls, phoenix claws, roast goose, char siu, white-cut chicken, etc.
Beijing, China – Beijing bean juice, Peking duck, shredded pork in Beijing sauce, old Beijing zhajiangmian, etc.

How to Install A Better Foods on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "A Better Foods". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

A Better Foods officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.1.2, 1.20.1, 1.12.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with A Better Foods – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if A Better Foods consumes the most tick time.
