About this Mod
A Villager's Dream
A Villager's Dream is a Minecraft Neoforge 1.21.1 mod which adds brand new Emerald and Villager themed content.
✨ Features
- Emerald Gear: Brand new set of Emerald Tools and Emerald Armor with unique Abilities (see below)
Emerald Gear
- Emerald Sword: Deals 6 damage. Deals double damage to Illagers. Grants Strength II during Raids.
- Emerald Mace: Each inventory slot with a Emerald adds +1 damage to melee attacks. Each attack consumes 1 Emerald. This weapon cannot perform a Smash Attack
- Emerald Pickaxe: Has a 20% chance to grant Emerald Rush when breaking blocks, granting Haste and a chance to find Emeralds while breaking blocks.
- Emerald Axe: Stripping logs has a 10% chance to turn into Emerald Ore. The chance triples while in a Village and is 100% with Hero of the Village. Stripping logs costs a high amount of durability.
- Emerald Hoe:
- Right-click: Instantly harvests all fully grown crops in a 3x3 area
- Shift-right-click: Till a 3x3 chunk of dirt into farmland
- Passive: Using either Ability has a chance to drop Emerald Nuggets.
- Emerald Shovel: Digging a path has a 10% chance to turn into a Emerald Ore.
- Emerald Armor:
- Full Set Bonus: Gilded Greed: Grants an Emerald Barrier based on emeralds held (in inventory), maxing at 10 hearts, but converts shield damage into Debt which must be paid every 15 seconds or the armor suffers extreme damage.
- Smelt an Emerald into an Emerald Ingot.
- Acquire an Emerald Upgrade Template (Traded by the Emeraldsmith at their Emerald Workbench)
- Combine Iron Gear + Emerald Ingot + Template in a Smithing Table.
- Craft: 2 Emerald Blocks and 4 Planks into a Emerald Workbench.
- Invest: Invest 1-64 Emeralds onto a piece of gear to strengthen the quality
- Apply Apply your Quality to your chosen gear to enhance its attributes.
How to Craft Emerald Gear:
Emerald gear uses the Smithing System, similar to Netherite:
Emerald Workbench:
The Emerald Workbench is the jobsite block for the Emeraldsmith and allows you to enhance exsisting gear with Qualities.
- Rubies: The original, scrapped Villager currency, back with new, fiery powers.
Rubies
- Ruby: A rare drop from Disguised Illagers. Striking a mob with a Ruby sets them on fire.
- Ruby Furnace: A dual-input high speed furnace which can smelt 2 items at a time 3x faster than a normal furnace.
- Friends and Foes: Brand new Scouts and Disguised Illagers to improve Village and Raid encounters. New Villager Profession "Emeraldsmith" to upgrade your iron gear further
New Friends and Foes
- Disguised Illager: Spawns randomly in villages. Looks just like a generic Villager, but get too close and they will reveal their true colors.
- Scout: A new Illager joins the ranks! Carrying their trusty horn, this Illager can buff all nearby Raiders. If no Raiders are nearby, they can call in reinforcements.
- Emeraldsmith: A new Villager profession who buys Emeralds for various items, including Rubies and Emerald Upgrade Templates

How to Install A Villager's Dream on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "A Villager's Dream". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
