Abandoned Structures
Abandoned Structures is a Minecraft datapack designed to enrich your exploration experience by adding mysterious and forgotten structures scattered across the world.
Features
6 Unique Structures (more planned in future updates):
- Abandoned Mine: Explore the remnants of an old mining operation.
- Abandoned Miner’s House: Loot the belongings of a long-gone miner.
- Skeleton Excavation: Discover a dig site revealing the remains of an ancient creature.
- Spider Cave: A dark and dangerous lair, home to many spiders.
- Spider House: A sinister place overtaken by spiders.
- Desert Well: Abandoned deserted well.
Custom Loot Tables: Each structure features its own unique loot found in chests or suspicious blocks, offering players a variety of rewards.
Version Compatibility:
- Currently available for Minecraft 1.20 and 1.21.4.

How to Install Abandoned structures on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.9).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Abandoned structures". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Abandoned structures server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.9). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Abandoned structures compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Abandoned structures officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.9, 1.21.8, 1.21.7. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Abandoned structures – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Abandoned structures consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
