About this Mod
Ever wanted your own programmable flying drone? AC-Drones brings small, computer-powered drones to Minecraft, as an extension to CC:Tweaked.
These drones can fly around, place and pick up blocks (using the drone claw!), carry items, all using Lua programs.
You can find the drones in the creative inventory, inside the CC:Tweaked item tab.
You can sneak-right-click your drone to open up its menu, where the internal screen, accessory slots, and inventory can be accessed, or with just right clicking, you can hop on and ride on your drone for fun (or transportation!)
Drones include a 4-slot inventory. Using which, the drones can place blocks, use items downward, or vacuum up drops from the ground or inventories below!
Drones also have a number of attachments & accessories:
- The Claw: grab and drop blocks, such as chests, keeping all their content!
- Chunkloader: keep your drone's area loaded, opening up possibilities for long-range transportation of items & blocks using drones
Notes
The mod is still in an early development state and is NOT ready for use in public, multiplayer server. The mod does support Common Protection API, but it's not completely implemented yet, and many things do not check for permissions; be aware of this.

AC-Drones server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is AC-Drones compatible with fabric?
AC-Drones officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21, 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with AC-Drones – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if AC-Drones consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
