About this Mod
This mod makes a small change to the way status effects work.
Default Settings
Normally, consuming a potion (example; 8 minutes of Strength) will set the duration of the effect to 8 minutes, regardless of how many times you drink it, with it being the longest possible within the game.
However, with Additive Statuses installed, these potions will instead add to the total duration of the effect.
Configuration
Accessing the config file or using Mod Menu, the following can be done:
Cycle Amplification
When activated, when the duration of an effect hits an indicated "maximum duration", it will set the duration to an indicated "starting duration", while increasing the amplification of the effect by 1.
Specific effects can be blacklisted from this, by default, effects that aren't changed by amplification (e.x; Night Vision) are on the list.
Duration Limitation
When activated, duration of all effects cannot actively exceed the indicated "maximum duration".

Additive Statuses server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Additive Statuses compatible with fabric?
Additive Statuses officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Additive Statuses – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Additive Statuses consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
