A Sable-compatible chunkloader, plus some other stuff I feel aeronautics is missing
About this Mod
This is an addon mod for Create Aeronautics with some blocks and items I feel are missing from the main mod. I intend to update this with new stuff every once in a while when I have the time
Blocks and items added:
- Aeronautic Chunk Loader: When placed on a Sable sublevel, this block will keep it and the surrounding chunks loaded. Dynamically calculates the size and adjusts the 'bubble' of loaded chunks according to the airship size. When placed outside of a Sable sublevel does nothing. Use on very fast moving aircraft is not recommended, as it may outpace the chunkloading and get stuck
- Player Compass: A compass, which can be used by a player, binding it to them. After this, the compass will point towards that player's location or their last known location if they're offline. Compatible with aeronautics Navigation Tables
- Directional Compass: A compass, which opens a UI, allowing the player to select a heading of their choice. The compass will always point in the selected direction. Compatible with aeronautics Navigation Tables
Planned additions in the future:
- Chain links and winches that can transfer rotational power
- Rope/chain quick attach/release connectors

How to Install Aeronautic Additions and ChunkLoader on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Aeronautic Additions and ChunkLoader". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Aeronautic Additions and ChunkLoader server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Aeronautic Additions and ChunkLoader consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
