This mod allows shields to be enchanted with Thorns.

Thorns on shields will activate while blocking or while held in hand, but only if the attacker hits the shields hitbox. Additionally, hitting the shield while not blocked will still damage the player and apply less damage to the attacker. More details can be found in tables below

Thorns Damage Chance while Blocking:

Thorns Level	Chance	Damage
Thorns I	50%	2 Damage (1 Heart)
Thorns II	75%	4 Damage (2 Hearts)
Thorns III	100%	6 Damage (3 Hearts)

Passive Thorns Damage Chance (Held in hand):

Thorns Level	Chance	Damage
Thorns I	15%	1-5 Damage (0.5-2.5 Hearts)
Thorns II	30%	1-5 Damage (0.5-2.5 Hearts)
Thorns III	45%	1-5 Damage (0.5-2.5 Hearts)

How to Install ales' Thorned Shields on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2-pre-4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "ales' Thorned Shields". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
