Alternate End
A mod that reworks the way you adquire ender eyes
About this Mod
This mod seeks to rework how you arrive to the end, inestead of going to the end by crafting up ender eyes, these must now be adquired via defeating bosses.
Note: If when updating this mod you start crashing, try to delete the configuration file. Config file changes can cause crashes if your older file is outdataded!
**This mod does NOT add any bosses by itself. Its heavily recommended that you install other mods to go along with it to add bosses and register them on the config!

Features
- This mod will disable the traditional recipe to craft ender eyes
- Bosses will now drop ender eyes upon death
Note: Although this mod adds the ability for bosses to drop ender eyes it does NOT add any bosses by itself, meaning this mod is designed to be installed in a modpack with several bosses
Configuration Guide
Upon launching the game with this mod installed, a file will be created in .minecraft > config called "AlternateEndConfig" which should contain the following
[Bosses]
Bosses = "minecraft:enderdragon, minecraft:wither"
"Boss Display Name" = "Example, Example"
in order to configure which entities are considered "bosses" by the mod you must use either one of these options.
Bosses = "minecraft:enderdragon, minecraft:wither"
in this field, you may type the bosses registry name. If you do not know the registry name of the boss you can check it in game via the /summon command.
"Boss Display Name" = "Example, Example"
In this field, you can type the display name of the boss. this option is not recommended for usage as it can cause bugs, but was left in for mods that utilize display names over normal entities to determine which of these are bosses.

Alternate End server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Alternate End compatible with forge?
Alternate End officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Alternate End – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Alternate End consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
