About this Mod
Simply de-incentivize mob farming by reducing loot drops on over-farmed chunks!
This doesn't affect normal mob killing much but cripples most mob farms as they're all about killing a lot of mobs in the same place.
While without mob farming, you usually kill a few mobs in a chunk, then move to another one.
Comes with compatibility with my main mod, Mine and Slash.
This mod is perfect for RPG/Adventure modpacks where you don't want people automating mob farming.
Features:
- One time Free kills per chunk. Allows you to kill many mobs in one place without any penalty, this means you can stay a while in a chunk and grind, but you can't do that forever because of the next bullet point
- Regenerating Kill penalty per chunk. Every time you kill, the penalty goes up, while as time passes, the penalty goes down. The higher the penalty, the higher the chance loot won't drop.
This essentially follows the RPG formula, you enter a structure/cave/area, clear the mobs, get loot, and you're done with the area. You can come back eventually to grind again, but not right away.
It is very hard to game this penalty but at the same time shouldn't feel punishing at all in nearly all situations. (small exceptions are maybe modpacks with lots of base raids/invasions)
