Apothecaria
Medieval Medicine comes to Minecraft
About this Mod
Apothecaria is a mostly medieval mod inspired by stories, movies, books, other games, etc...
The mod gives the player an opportunity to collect new plants and cultivate them. The main mechanics of the mod are:
- Plants harvested in a specific way give the entire plant which can be later processed into separate parts
- Grinding plant parts into powder
- Gathering wax from honeycombs
- Creating a fermentation barrel in which the player can create alcohol for medicinal purposes
- Using the previously mentioned mechanics, but also mechanics such as extraction, destillation, maceration, to create new potions, but also things like tinctures, extracts, balms...
The main takeaway of this should be the following - If you're satisfied with the Vanilla-style potion making, this mod is not for you, but if you're looking to discover new ingredients, learn ways how to process them and follow chains of productions in a medieval-type environment and in return get specific, but powerful potion effects, then this mod is for you.
Currently, a lot of features are still missing and are being worked on at this moment. Once the core features are in place I'll start adding more content, like new plants, new processing methods, new effects...
