About this Mod
Description
Armor Refit is a mod that aims to improve and expand a few of Minecraft's underutilized features, mainly copper, chainmail armor and alloy creation, by implementing a new utility block, materials, gilding and armor variations.
Features
Alloy Furnace
The Alloy Furnace is a new utility block used to create alloys and bulk smelt items and blocks. Using it requires either a block of coal or a bucket of lava.

Alloys
Alloys can be created by combining ingots and raw materials. Blocks can be created this way as well. All recipes are shapeless.
Steel Ingots and Blocks

Rose Gold Ingots and Blocks

Netherite Chunks and Ingots

Bulk Smelting

Copper tools & armor
Copper tools and armor have been added to create a new inbetween of stone and iron. Copper is much faster and stronger than stone but less so than iron and cannot break blocks that require an iron tool. Copper armor provides better protection than leather and chainmail.

Steel tools & armor
Steel is a new inbetween of iron and diamond. It is faster and stronger than iron but less than diamond and the tools can only break iron level blocks. Steel ingots can be used in place of iron ingots in a few recipes.

Rose Gold tools & armor
Rose Gold is slightly stronger than gold but with slightly less enchantability and speed. For now its main use is aesthetics.

Chainmail
Chainmail has now been given the attribute Projectile Resistance, which reduces the damage from projectiles by 12% per piece equipped. This puts it in between projectile protection 1 and 2.
Scalemail
Scalemail is a new armor crafted with Dragon Scales that can be found in end cities or dropped from the Ender Dragon. It is on par with copper armour and has the attribute Projectile Resistance +, which reduces the damage from projectiles by 17% per piece equipped. This puts it in between projectile protection 2 and 3.

Maille Variants
Armors copper and above can now be combined with any maille in the smithing table to create new maille variants. The new maille armor is slightly better than its base with the addition of projectile resistance and a new look. Chainmail variants can be upgraded into scalemail. In order to upgrade, a Maille Upgrade Template will need to be crafted.

Gilding
Gilding is a new mechanic that is meant to aid with enchanting. It is done by combining metal or crystal tools with a gold ingot in the smithing table. Gilded tools have a higher enchantability value and an increase to durability and speed. Gilding requires a Gilding Upgrade Template which can be found in loot chests underground.

Music discs
2 new music discs have been added for the player to find in loot chests in the world.

Misc
All new materials can be used for armor trims.
All added armors can be trimmed.
Flint & Steel name changed to Fire Striker to better suit mod applications.
Chainmail chestplate and helmet textures have been changed.
