About this Mod

ArmorFade is a NeoForge mod that lets players customize how their own armor is rendered.

You can configure each armor slot separately, including helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. Each part can have its own opacity, visibility toggle, and enchantment glint setting. This makes it easier to show your skin or character style without fully removing the look of equipped armor.

In multiplayer, each player’s settings only affect their own armor. When the mod is installed on the server and on participating clients, players can see each other’s customized armor appearance without overriding anyone else’s personal settings.

Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Server lagging with ArmorFade – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ArmorFade consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
