Auto-Shield Reborn

Designed for the new Minecraft player! Stay alive a little bit longer until you learn the game and are ready for real battles. Your first days as a player does not have to be one of constant dying and frustration!

Recommended for children, the visually or mentally impaired, or if you just feel like you need the extra boost.

Automatic shield blocking. Hold a shield in either hand and you automatically block any attack a shield can normally block - melee, projectiles, and more - from within a 180-degree frontal arc (damage from behind still lands). Durability cost per block is server-configurable (0-10, default 1).

Blocks the full vanilla shield-blockable set; fire/fall/drown/magic pass through, just like a raised shield.
Server-authoritative and dedicated-server safe - works with no client installed.
In-game config screen via ModMenu (Fabric) or the NeoForge mods Config button; operators sync the value to the server.

The 26.1.2 download is a single universal jar for both Fabric and NeoForge. 26.2 is Fabric-only for now (NeoForge 26.2 lands when NeoForge ships it).

How to Install Auto-Shield Reborn on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2-rc-2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Auto-Shield Reborn". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
