About this Mod
This pack adds Aviator Helmets, a variant of the Leather Helmet in the style of Ghast Harnesses.
The required Resource Pack can be downloaded from the versions page!
These helmets are crafted with 4 leather, 1 carpet, and 1 glass pane:
While the starting color is determined by the carpet used in crafting, the helmets are dyeable, and can be set to white by washing them in a cauldron.
When worn normally, the aviator helmet looks like a miniature version of the ghast harness, with the goggles worn on top of the head:

While gliding, the goggles of the aviator helmet flip down to be on the player's face:

In first-person-view, the aviator helmet activates an overlay and HUD while gliding. This HUD tells the player their current speed, pitch, and remaining elytra durability:

When the player lands, a brief message appears telling the player their total distance flown that trip:

Additionally, the aviator helmet provides a small level of protection from damage caused by crashing into walls while flying.
