Original Description
This mod adds a new mob - Ranchu goldfish! They come in a variety of patterns, and can be bred. Alongside this, it also adds a new decorative plant - Water Lettuce.
📋 Features!
🪣 Ranchus & Variants
Ranchus spawn in river biomes. They can be bucketed, and their appearance can vary in color pattern and tail size.
By default, almost all naturally spawned ranchus will be of the "wild" variant - a muddy-brown color with no patterns.
Ranchus can be bred, and when bred, they can spawn in new variants.
There are 101 different color patterns and 3 different tail sizes (Short, Medium and Long) that ranchus can have.
This gives them a total of 303 different skin combinations.
🥬 Water Lettuce
Water Lettuce is a new aquatic plant that spawns in water bodies in savanna biomes.
Spread when bone-meal is used on them.
Can be crafted into green dye.
Used for ranchu breeding, see below.
💕 Breeding
Ranchus cannot be fed to breed them, unlike other mobs.
Instead, ranchus must first be bucketed in order to 'domesticate' them.
Then a pair of ranchus must be placed in a body of water, and the following conditions must be fullfilled:
- The water must have one or more water lettuce within ten blocks of the ranchus.
- There must be less than six ranchus nearby.
- It must be sunrise.
If these conditions are maintained, the ranchus will automatically enter love-mode, and breed.
