About this Mod

Recreation of the long lost Bacteria Mod by TeNNoX.

Genetically engineered bacteria to eat parts of or all of your world. Destroy all the sand in a desert, or just turn it all into grass.

Either way you want to go, be careful with these powerful bacteria colonies.

Bacteria replacing a large area

Start out by crafting some Must,

Bread surrounding a sponge

Then put it into some water to grow.

A few Must blocks underwater

A Lot.

Must blocks filling most of a lake

Once you have enough, compress 9 together and make your colony, either to replace your world,

4 Compressed Must around a Dispenser

(By placing this block on top of what you want to replace, and then the thing you want it to become on top of that)

or to destroy it.

4 Compressed Must around a TNT

(By placing all the blocks you want to remove on top of this, and then powering it).

Remember to craft a Jammer just in case.

5 iron like a minecart, with a Must block on top on one side, Redstone Dust in the center and on the other side

WARNING: The Bacteria in this mod can break bedrock and duplicate diamonds.

Bacterium Limits is a datapack that can be used to add some basic restrictions.

Is Bacterium compatible with fabric?

Bacterium officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.19.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Bacterium – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Bacterium consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
