About this Mod

TW's Baking Process

A mod dedicated to enriching the process of food preparation.

TW's Baking Process aims to recreate every detail of real-world cooking with an immersive experience — no longer do you just click a button on a crafting table. You'll need to grind grains by hand, chop ingredients, build your own oven and control the heat, and finally assemble processed ingredients into one-of-a-kind dishes, commanding the entire process like a true master chef.

Core Gameplay

🔪 Hands-On Chopping — Cut by Cut

Chopping is no longer an instant "smash and it's done" synthesis. Every ingredient requires repeated knife work on the Cutting Board, with different items having their own number of cuts and steps — a carrot must be sliced over a dozen times to separate the head from the slices; a cod needs to be cubed before the head is dealt with; an apple requires patience to core. Each knife stroke advances the visual state of the board, delivering a genuine sense of preparation.

🥣 Multi-Stage Kneading & Dough Preparation

Want to bake a good bread? Start by grinding wheat in the Millstone to obtain fine flour. Then pour the flour into the Kneading Bowl, add liquids such as water or milk in sequence, followed by extra ingredients like salt, sugar, and eggs. Finally, knead repeatedly with your bare hands until the dough becomes smooth — only then will a bakeable dough embryo be produced. The ratios of each dough are decided by you, and different combinations of flours and liquids will influence the final type of product.

🔥 DIY Oven — Build It Your Way

An oven is not a single unchanging block. Using modules like Heat-Resistant Slate and Iron Plates, you can freely assemble oven structures of various sizes within defined rules. Place the items to be baked, then add and ignite Firewood at the designated spots; the slate will absorb the heat and start baking.

🍽️ Free-Form Plating — Explore Combinations

The culmination of all cooking takes place on the Plate Block. Place processed ingredients one by one onto the iron plate — bread, diced vegetables, fish cubes, toppings... The game will recognize whether your combination forms a valid dish. Feel free to experiment with different arrangements, from familiar recipes to unexpected "cursed" creations; the plate is your canvas.

🌿 Ever-Expanding Ingredients & Processes

This mod will not stop at its current content. In the future, new crops (rye, herbs, hops, etc.) and new minerals (rock salt, sugar sources, etc.) will be continuously added, extending the ingredient supply chain. More cooking methods will also make their debut — a separator for centrifuging milk into butter and cheese, a large iron pot for slow-simmering stock, rolling out pizza dough and baking it in a stone oven with toppings... Each update will introduce new kitchen tools and operational steps, making the Western-style cooking experience ever tighter and more immersive.

This mod will be continuously updated, with new ingredients, tools, and cooking processes added over time to make the entire culinary system increasingly compact and immersive.

A Day of Immersive Cooking

In the morning, take down your kitchen knife and chop carrots and potatoes on the cutting board, slice by slice. Turn the millstone to grind flour, pour it into the bowl, add water and knead until the dough is smooth. Then build an oven from slate and iron plates, place the dough inside, stuff in firewood and light it up — wait as the bread slowly rises and browns. After baking, arrange your bread, vegetables, and fish pieces on the Plate Block, trying to piece together the dish in your mind — in this moment, you are the master of the kitchen.
