About this Mod

Ban Sleeping

Ban Sleeping is a Minecraft Mod for Fabric 1.20+ that prevents the player from sleeping in a bed

Supported versions

New system

Due to the new Minecraft versioning system and their "drops", each supported game version has its own mod version file to reduce load and potential problems. Please look at the versions badge above for more.

Also, the minimum loader and API versions have been standardised to be the minimum available for that Minecraft version. This is to prevent crashes from new updates; but very few people are to run into this issue as most people update their loaders and APIs frequently.

I recommend heavily using a mod manager/launcher to help automatically update these dependencies. Modrinth and Prism Launcher are great options for this.

Old system

Only applicable for 1.21.10 and below

Frequently Asked Questions

Ban Sleeping server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Ban Sleeping compatible with fabric and quilt?

Ban Sleeping officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.10. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Ban Sleeping – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Ban Sleeping consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
