About this Mod
Basic Reach is a compact, singleplayer-focused utility mod that adds a straightforward Reach enchantment (I–II) for safer melee and smoother building. Reach increases both your melee hit distance and block interaction range, letting you poke mobs from farther away and place or break blocks across slightly wider gaps. It’s deliberately simple no damage boosts, no hidden multipliers. You can pair Reach with Sharpness or Smite if you like, but the enchant itself only changes range.
Reach adds +1.0 / +2.0 blocks to both entity and block reach while the enchanted item is in your main hand. It applies to weapons, mining tools, tridents, shears, and flint & steel. Books roll normally at the enchanting table, rarity weight 1 very, so it doesnt get in the way of other enchantments, and you can anvil-apply them anywhere.
This mod is designed for integrated worlds, it intentionally refuses to load on dedicated servers to avoid PvP balance issues. If you want a quick check, give yourself a Reach II book and feel the extra spacing immediately. Clean, predictable, comfy a small but feelable change, less run more fun!
