About this Mod
Welcome to Beacon Wars, a Minecraft mod designed to transform your survival experience into a thrilling battle for strategic control and resilience!
This mod introduces a unique "Beacon Wars" gamemode that can be activated or deactivated via commands, fundamentally changing how players interact with the world, crafting, and respawning. It's perfect for challenging PvP servers, custom adventure maps, or just a fresh take on vanilla survival with friends.
Key Features:
The Base Beacon: Your Strategic Heart
New Block: Introduces the "Base Beacon" block, a critical structure for each player.
Dynamic Respawn: When you place a Base Beacon, it automatically sets your personal respawn point.
The Ultimate Consequence: If your placed Base Beacon is destroyed by another player, you will be immediately switched to Survival Mode (if not already) upon your next death, dramatically increasing the stakes and creating a clear objective for enemies. Protect your beacon at all costs!
Gamemode-Controlled Mechanics:
Toggleable via Commands: The entire "Beacon Wars" experience can be activated (/beaconwars start) and deactivated (/beaconwars stop) by server operators, allowing for flexible gameplay sessions.
Initial Boost: Upon activating the gamemode, all online players receive a vital head start:
1x Base Beacon: To immediately establish their strategic foothold.
10 Minutes of Invisibility: Granting a crucial window to hide, strategize, or launch a stealthy initial attack.
10 Minutes of Invulnerability: Providing a safe period to gather initial resources or scout without fear of immediate threats.
Crafting Restrictions: While the Beacon Wars gamemode is active, players are prohibited from crafting Crafting Tables. This forces players to rely on their initial beacon or strategically acquire new crafting stations, adding another layer of tactical depth. Attempting to craft one will return the ingredients and notify the player.
Respawn Kits: To keep the action flowing, players receive a small set of essential resources upon every respawn while the gamemode is active:
32 Oak Planks
24 Iron Ingots
32 Sticky Pistons
64 Pistons
32 Bread
