How It Works

When Minecraft loads a loot table for a structure:

  1. The mod checks if the structure matches a rarity category

  2. If it matches, a loot box is injected into the chest

  3. When opened, the loot box:

    • consumes itself
    • gives a random reward from its pool
    • plays a sound and animation

Each box uses its own item pool, meaning rewards are consistent with its rarity.

Enchantments

Higher-tier loot boxes can generate:

  • randomly enchanted tools
  • enchanted armor
  • multi-enchantment combinations

Enchantments are applied dynamically, making each reward feel unique.

Visual & Audio Feedback

Opening a loot box triggers:

  • a floating item animation (like a totem effect)
  • a custom opening sound

This gives clear feedback and makes rewards feel impactful.

Integration

The mod integrates directly into vanilla loot tables
No configuration required — everything works out of the box.

Summary

Bed's LootBoxes enhances exploration by adding:

  • meaningful rewards
  • rarity progression
  • replayable loot mechanics

It keeps vanilla balance while making every chest feel more exciting.
