A mod that works to improve Bane of Arthropods for modded play, and give Arthropods more identity!
About this Mod
So we can all agree Bane of Arthropods is awful in vanilla right?
Looking to rehash this pest-squishing enchantment, I asked myself "What would it take for me to start using Bane of Arthropods in a serious capacity? What will make me want to use it over Smite or Sharpness?
And this is what I arrived on - To compensate for the general rarity of spiders (because let's be honest, spiders and cave spiders are what Bane of Arthropods should be used for), the enchantment also gets mild functionality against non-arthropod mobs, like Pillagers and Cows!
Below is a full list of the changes made to allow Bane of Arthropods to really find itself having a place in Modded Minecraft's toolkit
(This mod is balanced with the expectation that other mods are included in the mix, you may find this mod to be quite strong in more vanilla-like modpacks!)
(Arthropods are good against archers! Let's see some melee attackers out there!)
Arthropods react wildly when hit by ranged attacks, regenerating their health and resisting all damage for 2 seconds (unless they are burning)
(Most bugs don't wear armor, but if they did, I'd bet it'd be a Myrmex from Ice and Fire!)
Bane of Arthropods does 1 more damage per level, this damage is magic damage and pierces armor

Hitting an Arthropod with Bane of Arthropods removes Poison from the user
(Silverfish just got a lot scarier!)
Hitting an Arthropod without Bane of Arthropods gives a very small amount of poison to the attacker, and a little amount of regeneration to the Arthropod
(We could call it Spider Aspect!)
Hitting a non-Arthropod with Bane of Arthropods will poison the target for a short duration.
(The first Life-Steal effect in modded Minecraft that isn't broken!)
Hitting a poisoned non-Arthropod with Bane of Arthropods will grant a mild regeneration effect to the attacker.
There is no config, nor will there be one, this mod was made to be plug-and-play.

How to Install Better Bane Of Arthropods on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Bane Of Arthropods". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
