About this Mod

The Better Eating Mod

The Better Eating Mod seeks to eliminate a simple yet persistent problem in Minecraft - there is no delay between eating and placing or interacting with blocks. If you eat and become full and are holding torches in your off-hand, for instance, you'll immediately place a torch down.

This mod adds a fully configurable delay between eating food and placing or interacting with blocks. This can be between 0 and 20 ticks (0-1 seconds), configurable through the mod menu.

This mod requires the Fabric API. All other dependencies are bundled, but are listed to give credit where credit is due.

How to Install Better Eating Mod on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Eating Mod". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
