Better Glistering Melons
In vanilla Minecraft, both Golden Apples and Golden Carrots can be eaten, but not Glistering Melon Slices! Better Glistering Melons addresses this grievous oversight by giving Glistering Melon Slices 2 nutrition and 4.5 saturation. This makes them great for restoring saturation, benefiting both your health regen and sprint stamina.
Additionally, this mod adds a full Glistering Melon block. It can be crafted from 9 Glistering Melon Slices or by surrounding a standard Melon with 8 Gold Ingots in a crafting table. Unlike normal Melons, Glistering Melons must be mined with a pickaxe (they're gold-plated, after all), and the whole block is dropped rather than several slices. This means that Glistering Melons can be safely used as a storage block.
Finally, there's a small chance (1/64) that a normal melon stem will grow a Glistering Melon! This is now configurable!

How to Install Better Glistering Melons on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Glistering Melons". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Better Glistering Melons server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
