Better Mob Combat Visual
Better Mob Combat fork that makes all Better Combat animations for mobs (and CustomNPCS) purely visual without doing any AI changes.
About this Mod
I love the original Better Mob Combat mod idea for giving mobs and NPCs from CustomNPC mod, but i found it not doing great with changing NPCs and mobs combat AI so i decided to do a purely visual version of the mod, leaving only animations to play when they attack.
The way this fork does that is by changing idle, walking and attacking animations of (almost) all humanoid non-playable characters when they wield Better combat compatible weapons without touching any part of their AI so it should be practically compatible with everything.
Versions of mods i tested it with (Those mods are obviously required to run the mod):
- Better Combat - 1.8.6
- Player Animator - 1.0.2-rc1
- Mob Player Animator - 1.3.3
BMCV MIGHT work on other versions of those mods but require fixes related to the original Better Mob Combat mod.
P.S. Im not planning to port this mod to any other MC version, cause this was built for inner use but decided to share with public.

How to Install Better Mob Combat Visual on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Mob Combat Visual". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
