About this Mod

Minecraft mod that makes chainmail armour better. Chainmail armour is rather difficult to obtain in Minecraft, but is worse than iron armour making it pretty much useless. This mod buffs the armour such that it's similar, but slightly different than diamond.

Specifically, the new armour values are 4, 6, 8, 4 and the set has a toughness of 1.0f.

The mod only NEEDS to be installed server side, but unfortunately the armour values and durability will apear wrong on clients without the mod. Not really a huge issue since they will still function as intended on those clients.

How to Install Better Chainmail on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.18.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Chainmail". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
