BetterPoisonousPotato
Transforms poisonous potatoes into a risk/reward gamble with 40% chance for powerful buffs (Strength II + Jump Boost I + Speed II for 5 minutes) or 60% chance for poison (30 seconds).
About this Mod
Poisonous Potato Enhancement Mod - A Minecraft Forge mod that transforms the eating experience of poisonous potatoes from purely negative to a risk/reward gamble.
What It Does
When a player eats a poisonous potato, instead of just getting poisoned like in vanilla Minecraft, your mod creates a 40/60 chance system:
40% Chance (Good Outcome):
Strength II effect for 5 minutes
Jump Boost I effect for 5 minutes
Speed II effect for 5 minutes
No poison effect at all
60% Chance (Bad Outcome):
Poison effect for 30 seconds (shorter than vanilla)
Key Features
Balanced duration (5 minutes for good effects vs 30 seconds poison)
Uses proper Forge 1.21.5 event handling
Clean removal of all negative effects when getting positive ones
