About this Mod
I ONLY post my newer mods and mod updates to Modrinth! If you see my mods being uploaded to other websites under my name, THAT IS AN IMPOSTER AND IT HAS BEEN DONE SO WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! PLEASE DO NOT REUPLOAD MY MODS TO OTHER WEBSITES!!! NEVER DOWNLOAD UNOFFICIAL REPOSTS OF MY MODS, AS I DO NOT ENDORSE THEM AND ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY COULD BE VIRUSES!!! The ONLY exception are mods hosted on Planet Minecraft with older versions of my mods as that is where I originally started out sharing them!
Beyond Biomes is an experimental biome mod that adds various Vanilla-like Biomes, thus far adding the following to enhance your world:
- Ancient Oak Forest
- Glass Beach
- Lava Field
- Slime Caves
- Blue Crystal Caves
- Blood Tundra
There aren't any future plans currently, however more biomes may be added later down the line!
Available Versions
How to Install Beyond Biomes on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Beyond Biomes". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Beyond Biomes server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Beyond Biomes compatible with forge?
Beyond Biomes officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Beyond Biomes – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Beyond Biomes consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
