About this Mod
This mod currently adds 9 new fish to the vanilla fishing loot table. All of these fish can be cooked or traded with the fisherman villager. Some fish give or have special effects when eaten. All of the fish are fished from different biomes, mainly ocean biomes but some can also be fished in special cave biomes like Lush Caves. If a player has a higher luck stat they will be more likely to catch better fish from this mod capping at 13 luck at which you will only fish up the best fish from that biome although vanilla fish will still sometimes be caught. If you don't like the biome specific aspect or the luck dependency, the loottable for this mod can be changed with datapacks. I have made an example datapack which makes all the fish available in all biomes called: Homeless Fish.

Server lagging with Big Fish – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Big Fish consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
