Birch Utilities
This mod is my first project, it aims to make an often rejected material, birch, more used by buffing its utilities, and potentially adding more to it in the future.

About this Mod

Birch Utilities
By MildToucan
This project is my very first project that I actually plan to publish and share. It will likely be very poor in features, prone to bugs, messily published and messily coded.
Whilst I do hope that people will enjoy it once I actually get it in a working state, which it currently is not in, I don't expect much, this is mostly an experiment and a learning experience.
If you feel like helping with this project or suggesting any ways to improve Birch as a decoration block or give it utilities, feel free to contact me about it or open an issue.
Current features:
-Birch Charcoal, a form of charcoal that burns 1.5x more items compared to regular coal/charcoal
Current plans/TODO List:
-Buff to birch wood as a fuel source

Birch Utilities server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Birch Utilities compatible with fabric?
Birch Utilities officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Birch Utilities – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Birch Utilities consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
