About this Mod
This is a mod that allows you to implement a black screen quiet function for players in the game, and it has been open-sourced on GitHub.
You can use the command /black <players> (seconds) (text) (textColor) (backgroundColor) to apply the black screen quiet effect to selected players. When the black screen quiet effect is active, players will not be able to press any keys and will not be able to close the interface on their own. The text displayed during the black screen quiet effect, as well as its color and background color, can be customized. The displayed text can use the “|” symbol for line breaks. This command requires an OP (Operator) level of 2.
If you want to remove the black screen quiet effect from someone, you can use the command /end-black <players> to解除 the black screen quiet effect for that person. This command also requires an OP (Operator) level of 2.

BlackScreenQuiet server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is BlackScreenQuiet compatible with forge?
BlackScreenQuiet officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with BlackScreenQuiet – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if BlackScreenQuiet consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
