About

BlockChain Currency is a brand new, highly advanced, well-developed (all lies... probably) currency system designed for economy-based servers! Using the latest and greatest Block3 technologies, we hope to help alleviate the headache of deciding on what whether your SMP wants to use Diamonds or Sticks as a trading medium. Introducing BITS, the latest and greatest in coinage! The value is determined by what the server wants, so if you want it to be worthless or a commodity, you can! Surely your Bits will go to the End, right? Start making Bits using the Bits Fabricator, which takes Diamonds as input currently, but is planned to be changeable later on!

As always, installing JEI or equivalents will be the best way to view the items and recipes this mod offers

This is my first official mod, so there will probably be some things that I can't fix by myself as I lack a lot of modding knowledge. Feel free to leave suggestions and bug reports on the GitHub, though!

A: Currently, there are no plans to downgrade to any lower versions, nor is there plans to update to later versions (at least until NeoForge is more feature ready)

A: That would require me to learn another mod loader, which isn't feasible right now. That doesn't mean there aren't plans in the future, though...

How to Install BlockChain Currency on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "BlockChain Currency". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

BlockChain Currency server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is BlockChain Currency compatible with forge and neoforge?

BlockChain Currency officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with BlockChain Currency – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if BlockChain Currency consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
