About this Mod

Description

You will start of your journey weak and barely able to use all the heavy equipment minecraft has to offer, but don't worry!! The more you push yourself, the stronger you will become, how far will you go?

  • This datapack adds weight to all the tools, weapon and armor in the game.
In order to carry all those heavy items, you now have a strength stat. Your strength increases when you train, but be carefull it's exhausting! So don't forget to sleep every so often.

  • This datapack was compatible with the max weight attribute from: https://modrinth.com/mod/equipment-weight. I don't really know if it still works correctly

Training

To change the training speed use the following command

/scoreboard players set #global training_threshold "your value"

Right now the default is 10. So if you put this to 20, for exemple, the training time will double.

If the new training mecanism doesn't interest you (how dare you)

disable it with this command:

/scorboard players set #global training 0

Then I would recomand the following value for the default strength: 26

/scoreboard players set #global strength 26

This default has the following result: full iron loadout with iron sword no debuff, all good. If you try to go highr tier tho (diamond or netherite) You will get scaling slow debuffs the more you carry. And if for some reason you have 10 pickaxes with you you might make it to the weakness and other kind of horrible debuffs.
Right now I only look at your "equipment" items, so yes you can have 20 stacks of cobbelstone no problem, I might look at that in the future.

I used weight tags so it's easy to add custom or modded items.
Now that i made a fabric version I looked into the possibility to add items via a config file. But that is a big hassle as far as I understand any of it. So instead just add it manually to the datapack or ask me on discord.

  • For strength customization you can use:
/scoreboard players set @s strength "your value"
  • If you change the default value you will need to reset your strength value
/reload
/scoreboard players set @s strength 0
  • If you have the equipment weight mod installed look at their page for customization.

Exhaustion

First of all, if you don't like this mecanic use this:

/scoreboard players set #global exhaustion 0

This adds an exhaustion system. Basicly the harder you train and the longer you are awake the more exhaustion you build up. Time to sleep!
If you like this system, but you think you get debuffed to quickly or the opposite use the following command:

/scoreboard players set #global fatigue_threshold "your value" (the default is 3000 and 1 = 5 seconds, but not really... There are so many different functions interacting here, that I don't really know anymore)

Customization

The training bar is now much more customisable:

  • #global for server setting and @s for personal setting
/scoreboard players set #global training_bar "value"
or
/scoreboard players set @s training_bar "value"
  • 0 = disabled
  • 1 to 5 is different settings, test them out.

BackPort compatibility

I made two versions to be able to play on older minecraft versions. If they see some downloads, then I will make sure to keep them up to date as well.

The future

-Come suggest cool stuff on my discord ^^

  • I will probably not make versions for any other loader then fabric in the futur, except if someone wants to help me out, but I can't be bothered to look up even more tutorials.

Supports the weapons, shields, tools and armor of:

  • The Aether
  • Shield Expension
  • Friends&Foes
  • AdventureZ
  • The bumbelzone
  • immersive aircraft (You thought you could just carry a plain?)
  • Man of many plans
  • Immersive armors
  • Stellarity
  • Stellaris
  • Deep Underground
  • Progressive archery
  • Armor restitched

Description FR

/scoreboard players set #global training_threshold "your value"

/scorboard players set #global training 0

/scoreboard players set #global strength 26

/scoreboard players set @s strength "ton chiffre"
/reload
/scoreboard players set @s strength 0

Frequently Asked Questions

Weight & Training server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Weight & Training compatible with datapack and fabric and neoforge?

Weight & Training officially supports datapack, fabric, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Weight & Training – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Weight & Training consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
