About this Mod
Bounty Craft
Vanilla+ bounties via villager trades—accept, track, and claim simple objectives that enhance exploration and combat without grind or power creep.
How It Works:
Grab Contracts: Open any villager's trade screen and accept via a new button (hold up to 4).
Track Progress: Press J to open the overlay—view all, select one for compass + distance guide, claim rewards, or dismiss.
Daily Rotation: Contracts refresh daily with balanced rewards (emeralds, vanilla loot, rare enchanted books).
Bounty Types:
Kill Contracts: Hunt scaled mobs from a curated pool—fair credit for indirect kills (fall/fire).
Boss Hunts: Bigger, tougher vanilla bosses (2x HP/size) at fixed spots—no duplicates, persistent.
Structure Clears: Target nearest structures (e.g., Elder Guardian, pillager outpost) with smart recalculation.
Key Features:
Lodestone compass for precise tracking.
Deterministic hints + spawn fallbacks.
Death-proof progress (capability data).
Lightweight: Throttled scans, NBT-tagged kills.
Rewards: Tiered emeralds/loot that fits vanilla pacing
Currently: Forge 1.20.1 (WIP) Expanding to Fabric/NeoForge, more versions, dimensions, mod hooks (custom mobs/structures), and configs. All feedback welcome—balancing, ideas, bugs!
NEW UPDATE: 1.1

Diversified and rebalanced the reward pool.

Bounty Craft server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Bounty Craft compatible with forge?
Bounty Craft officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Bounty Craft – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Bounty Craft consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
