About this Mod
Breaking Minecraft
A Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2 that puts a pane of glass between you and the
game window. The more blocks you mine, the more shattered your view gets.

How it works
- Every 2-4 blocks you break (random) cracks the glass a little further
(with a glass-break sound). The first crack is a single hairline. - A fresh crack is unstable - it keeps creeping on its own for a moment
before it settles, like real glass. - Break it badly enough and there's too little glass left to hold together - the
game shatters for real and crashes. - Your crack level is saved per world / server.
- Repair it by placing blocks - every 2-4 blocks you place mends one line
of crack. This runs entirely on the client, so it works the same on vanilla
servers, modded servers and in singleplayer.
It is purely a client-side mod; the server (and other players) see nothing.

Breaking Minecraft server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Server lagging with Breaking Minecraft – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Breaking Minecraft consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
