About this Mod
Build Your Campfire: A Back to Basics Approach
Do you ever feel like crafting a campfire takes away from the immersion of survival? Build Your Campfire is a lightweight mod that injects a touch of wilderness realism into Minecraft by changing how you build your essential resting spot.
This mod allows you to build a campfire using the most basic materials, sticks and flint, without needing to use a crafting table for it! The vanilla crafting recipe for the campfire was also changed, in order to keep compatibility with other mods that uses campfires as crafting ingredients. Now, you need 3 large sticks at the bottom, a flint in the middle right and a charcoal/soul sand at the center of the recipe, depending on the campfire variant you want.
Features
- Back to Basics Crafting: Ditch the crafting table! Craft a Large Stick by simply combining two sticks in your inventory (shapeless recipe).
- Natural Campfire Building: Right-click with the new large sticks in the ground to start building your campfire! Use four Large Sticks to create an unlit campfire.
- Light it Up: Ignite your campfire the classic way with flint and steel or fire charges.
- Dual Flint Frenzy: Feeling extra prepared? Light your campfire with flints in both hands for a true survivalist showmanship!
- Blue Flames: Need a soul campfire? Just right-click the campfire build, while not completed, with a soul sand or soul soil and enjoy the blue flames.
- New Campfire Cooking Recipes: New recipes like placing sticks in the campfire to create torches are added
This mod is perfect for players who:
- Enjoy a more realistic and immersive experience.
- Want a more survival friendly approach to campfires.
- Appreciate vanilla-friendly mod mechanics.
❓ F.A.Q. ❓
- Q: Is this mod compatible with other campfire mods? A: This mod is designed to be lightweight and shouldn't conflict with other campfire mods that add functionality, but it may disable their crafting recipes.
- Q: Can I still craft a campfire the old way? A: No, the vanilla recipe for the campfire will be disabled. A new crafting recipe using the new large sticks is added (both to the normal and the soul campfire variants) for modpack compatibility purposes.
- Q: May I use this mod in my modpack? A: You are more then welcome to use this mod on your modpack! The only rule is that the download refers back to the CurseForge environment, no outside links are allowed for direct download.
